The coaching staff contains a balance of paid and volunteer positions. All coaches are qualified to L2 Teaching or Coaching.

Paul Ritchie

Nationals & Regionals

Paul has been Head Coach at Street since 2012. He has a long history with swimming in Somerset. He was County and Regional champion throughout the age groups and won National championships in the 100m & 200m Breaststroke from 1998 to 2003 inclusive.

Paul has swum for Yeovil & District Swimming Club, Plymouth Leander and Bath University, as well as English and Great British teams. Probably his finest achievement, however, was being ranked junior world number one for the 200m Breaststroke. As a swimmer, Paul was taught by some of the country's finest coaches and so has a wealth of swimming knowledge and understands what it takes to get to the top.

Previously, Paul was interim Head Coach at Yeovil & District Swimming Club and was awarded a Somerset Network Coaching Award in 2011 in appreciation of his coaching excellence during his time at Yeovil.
